The Importance of NAD+

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme that is found in all living cells. It is important for a number of chemical reactions that occur in the body, including energy metabolism, DNA repair, and the regulation of enzyme activity. It is also involved in processes that help to maintain the integrity of DNA, and it can help to regulate the activity of certain enzymes that are involved in important biological functions. As we age, the levels of NAD+ in our cells decline, which can lead to a number of age-related diseases and conditions.

Maintaining healthy levels of NAD+ may help to reduce the risk of these diseases and promote overall health and well-being.

  • a chart showing NAD levels rapidly declining from 0-80 years old

    NAD+ Declines with Aging

NAD+ levels decrease with age (~50% every 20 years) and these levels are directly correlated with a number of age-related conditions and neurodegenerative disease. A decline in NAD+ results in a decrease in energy metabolism, weakened DNA repair, and inefficient immune activation. Sirtuins, a class of longevity enzymes that regulate and control genes rely on NAD+ to guide them to do their functions. Consequently, as levels decline, sirtuins aren’t optimally guided to do their jobs to repair and maintain the body for peak health and performance. If there isn't enough NAD+ to guide sirtuins to maintain cellular identity, skin cells start to act like nerve cells, nerve cells start to act like kidney cells, etc. – the body is confused. This explains why the body breaks down with old age and consequently wrinkles appear, there will be less benefit from exercise, energy levels decline, constant fatigue and compromised mitochondrial function occurs.

  • Increase NAD+ with Cell Being

Cell Being is a synergistic mix of molecules that support cellular energy to promote DNA repair and maintain metabolic homeostasis by increasing NAD+ levels. NMN is a precursor to NAD+, which means that it converts into NAD+ in the cell. We paired NMN with trans-resveratrol because they work synergistically to further enhance sirtuin activation, amplifying the beneficial effects on cellular health. Then we added TMG to improve methylation pathways to potentially avoid depleting methyl groups from increased NAD+ production. It has also been used primarily to optimize athletic performance and to improve heart health.

NMN & resveratrol in the spotlight

Almost everyone who is keen to learn more about aging, longevity and fasting has read or watched David Sinclair’s books, articles, and videos.

It’s important to say that VERSO® is not affiliated with David Sinclair or any of his work, and doesn’t endorse any specific NMN or Resveratrol brands. We’re part of the community inspired by his research, and our own scientific research and development of Cell Being and Clean Being supplements finds its roots with him.

David Sinclair is a well-renowned biologist, professor of genetics [1], and co-director for Biology of Aging Research at Harvard Medical School [2]. He’s best known for his pioneering focus on epigenetics, which informed and led to his worldwide best-selling book, Lifespan: Why We Age—and Why We Don't Have To.

Changed my Life

I have Meniere's disease and had to take Diuretics to manage my vertigo and for 4 years I have not slept well at night due to needing to get up at night to urinate. I had 4 good nights of sleep in the last 4 years. I saw an ad for Verso on Triggernometry podcast and read the literature about the product and read it would help with sleep so I tried it out. I got the Cell Being and read it can take 2 to 4 weeks to see benefits so I started taking it right away. After only 4 days, I slept through the night or if I had to get up to urinate, I could go back to sleep. I have not slept this good in 4 years, literally. Not only do I sleep better, I get less vertigo. I attribute this to just better sleep. I used to need a very low sodium diet (under 1,500 mg per day) to avoid vertigo, now I can eat more sodium and still not get vertigo. I used to feel hungover every morning due to Meniere's (as this started after I got Meniere's) and now that feeling mainly goes away.

This was the best thing I have come across since my surgery to help alleviate my symptoms of Meniere's This literally change my life for the better.

How many capsules are in a pack?

Each bottle of Cell Being contains 60 vegetarian capsules – each capsule contains 125mg of NMN (nicotinamide mononucleotide), 125mg of micronized, naturally derived trans-resveratrol, and 70mg of TMG (trimethylglycine - betain anhydrous).

Why should I take Cell Being?

ERSO Cell Being is a synergistic mix of molecules that support cellular energy to promote DNA repair and maintain metabolic homeostasis by increasing NAD+ levels. NAD+ is arguably the most important molecule in the body, as you would die in less than 30 seconds without it. NAD+ is responsible for a number of physiological processes; one being that it guides longevity genes called sirtuins to direct cells in the body to perform their jobs. NAD+ levels deplete with age and when there are low levels of NAD+, there isn't enough to guide sirtuins, so eventually skin cells start to act like nerve cells, nerve cells start to act like kidney cells, etc. – the body is confused. This explains why the body breaks down with old age and consequently wrinkles appear, there is less benefit from exercise, it takes longer to recover and an 'older' body is not as resilient as a 'young' body. Hence, why older people are deemed high risk individuals, especially when pertaining to infectious diseases such as COVID-19. By keeping NAD+ levels high, biological age no longer has to equal chronological age.

Should I take Cell Being if I have an underlying condition?

Those with underlying health conditions or taking medications should not take any supplements without consulting their doctor. People with Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, bleeding disorders, cancer, or those undergoing surgery should refrain from taking VERSO®. Taking resveratrol along with medications that also slow clotting may increase the chances of bruising and bleeding – an example of these medications include, but are not limited to; aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), diclofenac (Voltaren, Cataflam, others), ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, others), naproxen (Anaprox, Naprosyn, others), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, warfarin (Coumadin), and others. Taking resveratrol along with some medications that are broken down by the liver may increase the effects and side effects of some medications – an example of these medications may include, but are not limited to; lovastatin (Mevacor), ketoconazole (Nizoral), itraconazole (Sporanox), fexofenadine (Allegra), triazolam (Halcion), and many others.

When will I start to see the effects of Cell Being?

There are many variables that can affect the outcome of taking any supplements. However, you generally see serum levels increase within 5-6 hours. For best results we recommend taking Cell Being daily, with healthy fats, in the morning.

However, we refrain from making bold claims regarding how customers will feel, as the research indicates the results are dose dependant and are strongly influenced by other externalities like dosage protocol, sleep, exercise, and other lifestyle habits. While most VERSO users do report a range of improvements this isn't a guarantee we make, as with most valuable supplements like vitamin D, Omega-3 fatty acids, etc. they don't universally confer strong noticeable effects, but are important for optimal health. We started this company to bridge the gap between the research being done by the worlds leading longevity scientists, and consumers - as we weren't able to find a trustworthy source of an NMN & Resveratrol supplement. We leave the bold claims about the molecules to the brilliant scientists behind the research, and instead, we focus on delivering those molecules in an honest manner, as we're the only brand that is absolutely transparent about exclusively using cold storage, and publishing our testing for every batch here.

Is Cell Being safe to take with my current prescription medicine?

How should I store Cell Being?

In a cool, dark place. It’s best to protect the bottle from heat and UV light to prevent degradation.

Where can I see the batch testing of the VERSO® bottles I purchased?

You can see the testing for your bottle of Clean Being here.

Your bottle will have a lot number on the bottom that will correspond to the lot number of the lab testing certificate.

Can I continue to take other supplements with Cell Being?

Yes. If you’re taking medications or pharmaceuticals you should consult your doctor. Is Cell Being safe to take?

Yes, Clean Being is safe for healthy individuals. A recent human clinical trial (10.1507/endocrj.EJ19-0313) determining the safety of NMN in humans concluded that NMN is safe and doesn’t produce any side effects. Resveratrol has been studied widely in both human and animal models. Why should I take NMN instead of NR?

NR requires an additional step before it is converted into NAD+. When NR is taken into cells, it has to convert into NMN first, then subsequently NAD+. In addition, animal models show an increase in endurance only with NMN supplementation, not NR.

Why combine Resveratrol with NMN?

Cell Being uses pure, micronized Trans-Resveratrol, not low quality diluted plant extracts common in other supplements. Combining resveratrol with NMN allows NAD+ to work even better than when NMN is taken alone. NMN converts to NAD+, boosting NAD+ levels, and resveratrol binds to sirtuins, and upregulates their demand for NAD+.

Why is TMG added to Cell Being?

TMG restores methyl groups to their previous levels after being drained from the body due to an increase in the production of NAD+ .

Why are NAD+ levels so critical for aging?

NAD+ levels decrease with age and these levels are directly correlated with a number of age-related conditions and neurodegenerative diseases. A decline in NAD+ results in a decrease in energy metabolism, weakened DNA repair, and inefficient immune activation.

Can I take more than the recommended dose?

While the recommended dose is 2 capsules per day, you may choose to take more. Animal and human models show beneficial effects with higher dosages.

Can I give Cell Being to my pet?

We don’t recommend giving Cell Being to pets, however there are people who have given NMN and Resveratrol to their pets with positiveanecdotal results – no side effects were reported.

Can I give Cell Being to my child?

Cell Being is best for healthy adults without underlying health conditions and not recommended for children – they wouldn’t need it anyway since their NAD+ levels are sky high.

Why should I take Cell Being in the morning?

NAD+ plays a role in regulating circadian rhythm and NAD+ has been observed to peak in the morning – therefore, it makes sense to increase NAD+ levels at times that coincide with natural circadian rhythms.

However, many of our users take their capsules in the afternoon or split their doses throughout the day and report no negative side effects.
