Consumer Health Data Notice
Effective date: October 6, 2026
This Consumer Health Data Notice explains how VERSO Health LLC ("VERSO", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares "consumer health data" in connection with ver.so and related services (the "Services"). It adds to our Privacy Policy. If something here conflicts with that policy on consumer health data, this notice controls for the people and data it covers.
This notice is meant for residents of Washington, Nevada and Connecticut, and for anyone whose consumer health data is collected in Washington. Rights under those laws apply only where the law says they do. Nothing here limits rights you have under other privacy or consumer laws that can't be waived or excluded where you live.
1. What consumer health data is
"Consumer health data" means personal information that is linked or reasonably linkable to you and that identifies your past, present or future physical or mental health status. Exact definitions vary by state. For VERSO, this typically means information that could reasonably suggest something about your health or wellness, not a medical record.
We sell dietary supplements. We do not provide medical care, diagnose conditions, or ask for your medical history to buy products.
2. What we collect
Depending on how you use the Services, consumer health data may include:
- Product activity. Products you view, add to your cart, buy or subscribe to, when that activity could suggest a health or wellness interest (for example, sleep, energy, cognition, metabolic or healthy-aging products).
- Optional quiz and pop-up answers. Answers you choose to give in sign-up pop-ups, quizzes or surveys, such as which wellness goal you are most interested in (for example, through our Alia sign-up experience).
- What you tell us. Health-related details you choose to share when you email us, use our contact page, leave a review, or answer a survey (for example, an allergy, a reaction to a product, a medication, pregnancy or a condition). Please do not send detailed health information you do not need to share.
- Inferences. Limited preferences we derive from the above (for example, that you might like one product because you bought another).
Browsing and session analytics. Tools such as Microsoft Clarity may record how you interact with pages (clicks, scrolling, mouse movement and pages visited), including product pages. Clarity masks sensitive fields, such as text you type into forms, before that data is sent to Microsoft. We use this to find and fix problems and improve the site, not to build a health profile about you.
We do not collect precise geolocation used to infer a visit to a health facility, biometric identifiers, or genetic data.
We do not use a live chat tool. Support is by email and our contact page.
3. Sources
- From you, when you browse or buy, answer an optional quiz or pop-up, leave a review, or contact us.
- Automatically, through cookies, pixels, tags, session-recording tools, server logs and similar tools on our site (see the Privacy Policy, especially Sections 5 and 8).
- From service providers who help us run orders, support, email, quizzes and analytics, to the extent they process the categories above on our behalf.
4. How we use it
We use consumer health data to:
- process, ship and support your orders and subscriptions;
- answer your questions and handle product feedback, product-safety issues and adverse-event reports;
- suggest products and, where permitted, personalize our own emails or texts to you if you have agreed to receive them;
- improve the Services (including analytics, testing, session replays and heatmaps);
- keep the Services secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service;
- meet legal, tax, accounting and product-safety obligations.
We collect and use consumer health data to provide a product or service you asked for, with your consent where the law requires it, or as otherwise allowed by law.
5. How we share it
We share consumer health data only as described here and in the Privacy Policy:
- Service providers that work on our behalf under contract, including our e-commerce platform (Shopify); payment providers; subscriptions (Seal Subscriptions); email, SMS, forms and reviews (Klaviyo); pop-ups and quizzes (Alia); inventory and fulfillment (Zenventory); shipping carriers; analytics partners (including Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Triple Whale); and professional advisers. They get only what they need to do their work for us.
- Advertising, marketing and analytics partners, such as Meta, Google, TikTok, Microsoft Advertising, AppLovin, PostPilot and Instant. These partners may receive standard shopping events, such as which product you viewed or bought, through cookies, pixels or server-side integrations. That product-level activity can relate to health or wellness interests. Under some privacy laws, this may count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You can opt out (Section 6).
- Authorities and safety. When required by law, or to protect rights, safety and property.
- Corporate transactions. To a buyer or successor if VERSO is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
- With your direction or consent.
Quiz answers and support messages. We do not sell your quiz answers or support messages, and we do not intentionally provide them to advertising platforms.
VERSO has no corporate affiliates that receive consumer health data. Referral and affiliate partners may receive limited order-credit information (for example, that an order used their link). We do not give them your health details or quiz answers.
6. Sale, sharing and opt-out
We do not sell lists of customer names, emails or phone numbers for money. We do not sell quiz answers or support messages.
When advertising or analytics partners receive product view, cart or purchase events that could suggest a health or wellness interest, some privacy and health-data laws may treat that as a sale, share or other regulated disclosure of consumer health data. You can opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising by using Your Privacy Choices or by turning on Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser. When we detect GPC, we treat it as an opt-out for that browser, and for your account when we can link the browser to you.
For other consumer health data requests (access, deletion, withdraw consent, and related rights), see Section 7.
7. Your rights
Where Washington, Nevada, Connecticut or a similar consumer health data law applies to you, you may have the right to:
- confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, and access it;
- get a list of third parties and affiliates with whom we have shared or sold it, with an online contact method for each, where that right applies (including under Washington law);
- withdraw consent where we rely on consent;
- ask us to delete your consumer health data (we will also instruct our processors to delete it, subject to legal exceptions);
- appeal our decision if we deny your request;
- not be discriminated against for using these rights.
These rights are subject to verification and to exceptions in the law (for example, records we must keep for tax, fraud prevention, or completed transactions).
8. How to exercise your rights
Email go@ver.so with the subject "Health Data Request". Tell us which right you want to use and enough detail for us to find your information (for example, the email on your order).
- We will verify your identity by matching what you send us to what we have (for example, your email and a recent order number).
- We aim to respond within 45 days. Where the law allows, we may extend that once by another 45 days and will tell you why.
- We will not charge you a fee for a routine request.
- Appeals. If we decline your request, reply to our decision email with "Appeal" in the subject within 45 days. If we deny your appeal, you may contact the Washington Attorney General, the Nevada Attorney General, or the Connecticut Attorney General, as applicable.
For opt-outs of sale, sharing or targeted advertising, use Your Privacy Choices or GPC. No separate verification is needed for those opt-outs.
More privacy rights and choices are described in our Privacy Policy.
9. How long we keep it
We keep consumer health data only as long as we need it for the purposes above, then delete or de-identify it. Typical periods match our Privacy Policy, including:
- Order and subscription records: typically about 7 years after the order for tax and accounting, with subscription and consent records kept at least as long as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Support emails that include health details: typically a few years, or longer if needed for product safety or legal reasons.
- Quiz and pop-up answers: while useful for the Services and marketing you agreed to, then deleted or de-identified in line with our marketing and analytics practices.
- Session recordings (Microsoft Clarity): typically about 30 days, with a small number of saved recordings and heatmap data kept longer.
- Analytics and advertising data: typically up to about 14 to 26 months, depending on the tool.
10. Security and access
Access to consumer health data is limited to people and processors who need it to do their jobs. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards. No system is perfectly secure.
11. Changes
We will update this notice when our practices or the law change. We will post the new version here with a new effective or "last updated" date. For material changes, we will notify you by email or a notice on the site before the change takes effect where required.
